NICHOLAS KADE CLEMENT
Nicholas Kade Clement has been choreographing, teaching and inspiring young dancers in the dance team industry for over 15 years. After college, Nick was a performer in parades and shows at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. While at Disney, he had the opportunity to dance with such artists as Jordan Sparks. His High Kick Technique Intensives are well known throughout the country as being the most innovative in the industry and producing incredible results. His choreography and technique intensives have produced multiple National Championships, World Championships and numerous teams finishing in top spots at Universal Dance Association, National Dance Alliance and Dance Team Union national competitions. Nick has also created judges kick curriculum for many state and national competitions. Nick currently holds a roster of over 75 dance teams per season, where he is teaching competition choreography and technique.
HALEY BARBER
I have been dancing since I was 4 years old and started competitively dancing at a studio since age 12. I danced at Company C Dance Club where I studied ballet and competed in hip hop, jazz, contemporary, tap, and lyrical. I was then a member of the university of Cincinnati dance team for 4 years where we competed in hip hop and pom at UDA nationals every year. Throughout my dance career I have choreographed and judged at tryouts and competitions for various high school/middle school teams as well.
KAYLA WOODS
Kayla Woods is from Cincinnati, OH. Grew up training at Bonnie Williams Dance Studio and Prestige Dance Center. She received her BFA in Dance and Minor in Business Management from Northern Kentucky University. After graduating was an apprentice with Exhale Dance Tribe in 2018. She has been teaching and choreographing since she was 17. Kayla was the Assistant Coach at McNicholas High School and Head Coach at Bishop Brossart High School for dance team. Currently she teaches Hip Hop and Contemporary at Rapture Dance Company. She choreographs for high school dance teams, collegiate dance teams and studios in the city. She has won choreographer awards for best choreography in hip hop and contemporary in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
KAMI FLEMING
Kami grew up dancing in the Cincinnati area. She danced at Emerge Dance Academy where she won many awards. She was a 4 time recipient of the Steven Boyd Award and awarded “Future Star of the Year” at KAR nationals in 2017. Kami was a 4 year varsity cheerleader at Oak Hills High School where she graduated from in 2018. From 2018-2022 Kami danced on the University of Cincinnati Dance Team. The team traveled to Orlando every year to compete at UDA Nationals and Kami danced on the floor for both hip hop and pom, all 4 years. The team got to dance for the UC football team and travel to Maryland in 2018 for the Military Bowl, Alabama in 2020 for the Birmingham Bowl and to Texas in 2021 for the Cotton Bowl. Kami was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2019 and was named a Bearcat Strong Representative for the team in 2021. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in April of 2022 with her Bachelors in Biology. Kami then cheered for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2022-2023. During her rookie season she got to cheer at each home football game. Now, Kami is in her second year of Pharmacy school at James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy. She works as a pharmacy intern at Mercy Health Hospital and teaches dance at Emerge Dance Academy. Good luck to all the teams/studios competing today, and don’t forget to have fun!
SARAH PARKER
Sarah works full-time in dance as the Studio Director at Planet Dance Allstars and as a self-employed choreographer. She has been passionate about dance since she was 11, and has been able to continue that passion through coaching and choreography. Sarah was a part of the University of Tennessee Dance Team where she won a UDA National Title, and finished her college career at the University of Louisville Ladybirds to win 5 NDA National Titles. Her experience teaching dance started in 2015 as a UDA Instructor, where she would be Staff for 6 years including titles such as Head Instructor and Core Staff. Sarah has been the studio director at Planet Dance going on 2 years, and has been professionally choreographing on all levels from elementary to collegiate for 9 years winning State and National Titles. Sarah has coached National Winning dance teams such as Planet Dance Allstars and Floyd Central Dazzlers. She hopes that through her passion for dance and the life lessons it teaches, she can inspire and mentor more teachers and coaches that share her passion in the years to come.
PAIGE DIXON
Paige grew up dancing at the age of 5 in Cincinnati, OH and has been trained in multiple styles including, jazz, hip hop, modern, ballet, lyrical , contemporary, and urban flow. Paige was a faculty assistant for BellaMoxi Dance Convention, giving her the opportunity to travel the country while working closely with famous choreographers. Following high school, she attended the University of Cincinnati, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences. During her time at the University of Cincinnati she was a 4 year varsity member and captain of the UC dance team. She has been a dance teacher and choreographer since she was 16. Paige has choreographed and taught master classes at studios, middle schools and high schools around Ohio and Kentucky. While continuing her love for dance through teaching and judging, Paige is also obtaining her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology at Miami University.
JESSI WENDELKEN
Jessi started her dance career at Dance Etc. where she danced competitively for 12 years performing on acro, jazz, lyrical, tap, musical theatre, hip hop, and ballet teams. She was apart of Milford High Schools dance team from 2013-2016 and graduated in 2017. Jessi attended the University of Cincinnati and was apart of the dance team for 4 years competing in Hip-Hop, Pom, and Game Day. She was a Cincinnati Bengal cheerleader for the 2021 season. Jessi returned to coach the Milford High School dance team from 2022-2023. She is now pursing her doctorate in physical therapy at The Ohio State University.
KELLY CALHOUN
Kelly Calhoun has been involved in the dance world for more than three decades. A former member of competitive school teams, Kelly has been judging dance for various circuits since she was 21 and also spent many years as a dance camp instructor. She coached at both Oak Hills High School and McNicholas High School, seeing many of her former dancers move on to collegiate teams and professional companies. She choreographs for dance teams and musical theatre organizations. She is passionate about helping youth achieve their individual potential and seeing them grow their confidence through performing. Kelly lives in Clifton, Ohio with her husband Dustin, son Noah, and daughter Alyssa.
MARIA WRIGHT
Hi my name is Maria Wright and I am 22 years old. I grew up in Batavia, Ohio and have been dancing since the age of 3. I joined a competition dance team at the age of 6, training with both Just off Broadway and Planet dance Cincinnati. After graduating high school I was on the dance team at the University of Cincinnati for one year and the dance team at the University of Memphis for three years. I graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of science degree in 2023. I am currently continuing my dancing career working as an NFL Cheerleader for the Cincinnati Bengals.
JOSEPH BRIDGFORTH
Joseph began dancing at the age of 8 in Clarksville, Tennessee. He danced competitively at Acro Dance Express and was on Clarksville High School Dance Team until he graduated and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. Joseph attended the University of Cincinnati and recently graduated in the fall of 2023. He is the first and only male on the University of Cincinnati Dance Team. Joseph has also worked with thousands of high school and college athletes as a UDA instructor. Along with being an instructor, he has conducted social media coverage of events in California and Florida with Varsity Spirit. He was in the 2023 NDTC opening number and received the honor of Rookie of the Year. Joseph also choreographed routines taught at UDA camp for both high school and college athletes. He recently competed at the 2024 UDA college nationals and is currently finishing up his 4th year with the University of Cincinnati Dance team!
